What Can I Put Into the skip?

Skips are for non hazardous general waste and inert waste such as soil, brick, concrete etc. Any waste listed below cannot be placed into the skip. If you produce any of the following wastes please call 01604 831 375 for advice or quotation.

PLACING ANY OF THESE ITEMS PLACED INTO A SKIP WILL INCUR ADDITIONAL CHARGES AND/OR ITEMS RETURNED TO SITE AT YOUR EXPENSE.

 

Terms & Conditions

  • 1 General
    • 1.1 Any order placed with D&M Recycling & Waste Management Ltd which takes its vehicles off the public highway will be at the customers own risk, they will accept full responsibility
      for any consequential damage that may occur to persons, property or vehicles and any costs and losses incurred by D&M Recycling & Waste Management Ltd as a result of this.
    • 1.2 D&M Recycling & Waste Management ltd will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by failure to supply or any delay in supply which may be caused directly or indirectly by any
      circumstances beyond our control including act of God, fire, accident, breakdown of machinery, shortage of labour or material or by neglect on the part of the customer.
    • 1.3 D&M Recycling & Waste Management Ltd reserves the right to charge the customer for all costs incurred as a result of a cancellation or variation of the whole or a substantial part of
      an order together with loss of profit and all other consequential losses.
  • 2 Skip Hire
    • 2.1 Any waste listed above must not be placed into any skip without prior written agreement by D&M Recycling & Waste Management Ltd.
    • 2.2 It is the hirers responsibility to ensure that the skip is not overloaded by volume and/or weight The skip must not be loaded any higher than the sides of the skip. RORO’s can only be
      loaded to the height of the lowest side. D&M Recycling & Waste Management ltd reserve the right to refuse to collect overloaded skips/ROROs and any costs incurred due to the
      unsafe loads/overloading (including wasted journeys) will he passed onto the hirer. Additional charges may also be levied.
    • 2.3 lighting of fires in or near skips/ROROs is strictly prohibited. The hirer will be liable for any damage to the skip/RORO or loss (including loss of income) as a result of the fire (excluding
      fair wear and tear) and will be charged the current purchase price of a new replacement skip/RORO made by Field Fayre.
    • 2.4 The hirer will ensure that the skip is not moved from or within the site once placed by D&M Recycling & Waste Management ltd.
    • 2.5 The hirer will be held liable for any damage (except fair wear and tear) to the skip/RORO during the hire period If the skip is returned damaged or in a defective state the hirer will be held liable for any costs incurred in repairing the damage or will be charged the current purchase price of a replacement skip/RORO made by Field Fayre. If the skip is placed on the public highway/verge D&M Recycling & Waste Management will place a light and cones as required. If these are stolen/removed or damaged (except fair wear and tear) the hirer will be liable for the costs incurred by D&M Recycling & Waste Management Ltd for repair or replacement.
    • 2.7 It is the hirers responsibility to ensure that the skip is filled with the hire period and inform D&M Recycling & Waste Management Ltd in good time of its readiness for collection or
      replacement. The hire period is 1 week for 2 or 4 yard skips and 2 weeks for any other skip (unless prior written agreement from D&M Recycling & Waste Management Ltd). Any skip
      that is placed on the public highway or verge the hire period is 7 days including the day of delivery
    • 2.8 Failure to notify D&M Recycling & Waste Management ltd of the skip/RORO readiness for collection will result in unannounced collection and/or rental charges. Rental is charged at
      £50 t VAT per week.
    • 2.9 The responsibility for the skip/RORO remains with the hirer until collected by D&M Recycling & Waste Management ltd Any skip/RORO which is removed whilst in control of the hirer
      will be charged a the current purchase of a new replacement Field Fayre skip/RORO.
  • 3 Tipping/Waste Disposal
    • 3.1 D&M Recycling & Waste Management ltd are registered with the Environment Agency as a waste carrier. All our waste sites are all correctly licenced and approved by the Environment Agency.
    • 3.2 Customers using any of D&M Recycling & Waste Management Ltd sites do so at their own risk. D&M Recycling & Waste Management Ltd accepts no responsibility for damage or injury of any nature that may occur to persons or vehicles using these sites.
    • 3.3 Material/waste for tipping at our sites will only be accepted from registered waste earners and must be accompanied by a waste transfer note stating a description of the waste (with EWC code), the’ source of the waste and details of the waste carrier including the waste carriers licence number
  • 4 Sale Of Materials
    • 4.1 All materials are sold on the basis that the weigh or quantity is as stated on trie i onveyanr e note/weighbridge ticket. D&M Recycling & Waste Management Ltd will not accept any responsibility once the load has been discharged and accepted on site.
    • 4.2 Unless agreed in writing D&M Recycling & Waste Management ltd prices are for the materialsas stated at the time of quotation. Where the customer requires an alteration in the grade or type of material or where it becomes necessary to supply from another some e .in extra charge may be madr’for any additional costs which may be incurred by D&M Recycling & Waste Management ltd.
    • 4.3 All goods remain the* property of D&M Recycling & Waste Management ltd until paid in full.
  • 5 Payment Terms
    • 5.1 Account customers: End of the following month after delivery.
    • 5.2 Non Account customers: Payment must be made at time of booking by Visa or Mastercard.
